Got this for my daughter who was recently promoted to supervise a department where she works. She is now besieged by stupid questions many times per day. I thought this would cheer her up, and it was a big hit. You have to wait for the little floaty message thingy to reach the top and jiggle so it is flat up against the flat plastic window to read clearly, but once it is positioned properly, you can read it well. I had a lot of fun with it before I mailed it up for her, and she and the grandkids had fun with it before she took it to work. This was in the outter limit of what I will pay for a gag gift. I usually try to make my own, but this was just perfect for the occasion and I couldn't resist.

This is adorable and exactly what you’d expect it to be. The plastic of the 9-ball is a little lighter than the black plastic 8-balls, but otherwise, it’s essentially the same product with some attitude. Reviews that state that it doesn’t work....are maybe being sarcastic? This product doesn’t take batteries, the “battery low” message is just one of the sarcastic replies. Hope other reviewers’ attempts at a joke (or actual cluelessness) don’t deter people from buying this.
