Bắc nồi nước dùng lên bếp, nêm gia vị vừa miệng, thả cà chua vào, đun cho sôi lại lần nữa. Mỗi một bát bún sẽ kèm vài lát cá rán vàng, ít rau cần, thêm nước dùng cùng cà chua đỏ bắt mắt, thì là, hành hoa thái nhỏ.
